I have always admired how artwork can enliven public spaces or common everyday objects. I have two electrical panels in my laundry room and I wanted to cleverly integrate them into the remodeling of this small utilitarian space. As grey metal panels they were boring. With a little imagination, they now symbolize their importance as the heart and brain of my home. Literally making it possible to run the home much like the brain and the heart run a body. Although I am happy with some aspects, I feel more work still needs to go into completing this project.
