As a retired arts educator, I am looking for ways to promote the arts in my community. For many young people the creative arts are what engages them in school. It’s what gives their lives fulfillment and meaning. I aim to foster this passion, to give back and stay connected. So for the moment, I am electing to create public art with the help of the community. The plan will be to start simple, with sidewalk chalk. I will post a day, time and location. I will come with an artistic plan, the chalk and my enthusiasm. I hope to encourage others to join me. We will create something beautiful together! So stay tuned.
