Yes, the desert has color. This includes many shades of my favorite color–green! I started this project a while ago, and I am just getting back to finishing it up. This series of woodcut prints describes my fascination with the greenery of the southwest. I am impressed with the variety of cacti and how they thrive in a such a hot, dry environment. So unlike our Pacific Northwest greenery, that depends on an abundance of rainfall, these plants are truly survivors. They persevere where other vegetation can not.

When complete, five different variety, shades of green and images sizes will be placed together. I am still working out how I will finalize the display, but I am excited about the progress thus far.
